Collaborations
CORE Education works in partnership collaboratively with the following agencies and businesses, engaging in a range of projects and consultations in areas of common interest:
- Asnet Technologies - specialists in video and audio conferencing technologies, CORE has worked with them on a range of projects with schools.
- Canterbury Development Corporation - the region's economic development agency.
- Christchurch City Networks Ltd (CCNL) - CORE is working closely with CCNL in planning the roll-out of the fibre network around the city, particularly as it reaches schools. CORE is also represented on the CCNL advisory board.
- Cognition Consulting
- University of Canterbury, College of Education - CORE has partnered with the University College of Education on several e-learning and professional learning contracts with the Ministry of Education.
- CORE is a shareholder in the Innovation NZ Education consortium, partnering with CWA New Media, Heurisko and Learning Media, on contracts in Malaysia and Thailand.
- Educational Leaders Forum - ongoing sponsorship and support.
- Enterprise Champions Network E4E programme - CORE is instrumental in establishing this programme which is now being held up as the template for running Enterprise for Education in schools.
- HP New Zealand - HP are suppliers of a wide range of IT solutions for both personal, business and educational use. Their partnership with CORE has been long and has seen them connected to many of the programmes in which CORE has taken part. Amongst these have been the eFellows programme, ICT PD and CORE's conference programme. These links and their ongoing support of CORE's programmes over many years, make theirs a premier partnership.
- HitLab - CORE has an ongoing relationship with HITLab, and is involved with socialising some of the technologies developed there within the education space.
- Ministry of Education - CORE has enjoyed a long relationship with the NZ Ministry of Education, and is considered a preferred provider for a number of e-learning, research and professional development programmes
- Muslim Digital Outreach - a CORE Education research project to determine the level of access to, and ICT skills of the Canterbury Muslim community, and in particular Halal slaughterman across New Zealand.
- NextSpace - CORE is working closely with NextSpace in the development of opportunities for introducing the Right Hemisphere suite of products and applications into the education market.
- NZCER - CORE works in partnership with the NZ Council for Educational Research on a number of research projects.
- Renaissance Education Division (RED) - Renaissance through its Apple Division, were foundation supporters of CORE Education at both the technology level and through sponsorship of CORE's major conference programmes. Apple, a supplier of computer and IT technology, has a reputation also for support and professional development in the education environment. This link and their ongoing support of CORE's programmes over many years, make theirs a premier partnership.
- Super Loop - providing leadership in the development of national and local networks of schools' broadband networks.
- Weta Workshops - development of the educationally focused website to support the Jane and the Dragon TV series.
