Pita Sharples to open Maori educators’ wananga

 

 

Maori Affairs and Associate Education Minister Pita Sharples will speak to Maori Educators in Rotorua as the opening keynote at He Waka Eke Noa on July 15.

He Waka Eke Noa is a national wānanga for Maori Educators from early childhood to University, being run by CORE Education and supported by the Ministry of Education. 

CORE staff update

 

Tania Coutts will start working for CORE in July as an Early Childhood Education ICT Professional Learning Facilitator based in Auckland (1.0 FTE), replacing Linda Flavell. 

Taihuia Kawe-Small will also start in July as the Te Marautanga o Aotearoa Regional Coordinator based in Invercargill (0.5 FTE).

Former Mt Hutt Principal Don McLeod started last month on a contract to run the Experienced Principals Development Programme (0.2 FTE).
